6:20 AM your third alarm goes off, get up and do your morning routine.
6:46 AM leave the apartment. Same bus stop as last week, same people waiting.
Work. Same colleagues, same problems, similar deep talks.
Same clients, similar tasks, the same day as yesterday and tomorrow.
3:30 PM leave work, have a cigarette and chat with friends, get groceries, or just go straight home.
Clean, cook, eat, play a game on your phone and watch sitcoms.
9:45 PM prepare for bed.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Friday night and Saturday. Go to an art gallery / theatre / cinema, or open a beer, clean and dance in your apartment.
Sunday. Cook, or do nothing if you’re not in a mood. Go for a walk with friends and family.
Repeat every weekend.
Do something different from time to time. Something altruistic, beautiful, strange or out-of-character crazy.
Hug strangers in a club and listen to their problems. Repeat as often as possible.
Attend a posh party in your little black dress. You are cold and feel a bit weird – do not repeat.
Start a garden on your balcony and water the plants regularly. They always die within a month. Repeat anyway.
Read you favorite novels by Kafka and Sartre. Repeat every 3-5 years.
Carefully plan all your spontaneous acts.
But never fully leave your routine.
6:10 AM your first alarm goes off.
This is your life, so amazing and yet so trite at the same time. And then one day you’ll die.
The end.
